A little about Alexis

I am an adventurer, lover of sports and animals. I have an Arabian filly and 20 years of experience in horse back riding. In 2005 I received my Master's degree from University of Southern California in Industrial Social Work, a mix of business and psychology. I also attended California State University of Fullerton for my Bachelor's of Science in Human Services.

Why I do Short Sales

When I initially put my home up for sale, I did it to consolidate our expenses. After we were nearly moved out, my realtor called and said the deal had fallen through. I was flabbergasted. How could this be? We had signed all the papers. In fact, the buyer put in new hard wood floors in the kitchen. Without any explanation, the realtor shrugged her shoulders. After six weeks had passed, I was frustrated. All of my work had ended and we were living on one paycheck. I was worrying. There was no money left. None. And I had to choose at the end of every month which bills to pay. Do I pay the credit cards, or the house payment? Do I pay both and just run up the credit card bill more? What happens if I don’t pay? I put an ad in the paper with my house for sale. In the end, I got a call from a professional who knew how to help me in this situation.

I did not make any money on selling it—at that point, I didn’t care. I was free to move on with my life, a little sore, but a little wiser.

So now I spend my time trying to help other's who have found themselves in a situation that they need help out of.

Why I do Short Sales

My story is probably very similar to many people's. About 3 year's ago my wife and I bought a house. We paid what we thought was a good price and expected the housing market to keep right on climbing. Unfortunately the value of our home did not appreciate as expected. We refinanced our house to lower our payments, which meant a negative amoritization option ARM loan. This type of loan seemed appropriate for our situation since my wife was to begin working around the time the mortgage payment would increase. Then my wife broke her back and without her income we began to sink; eventually we got ourselves in over our heads and our house was upside down, (owing more on the loan then it was worth.) We were out of money and began to miss mortgage payments; we also started having late payments on our other bills. Needless to say the stress was incredible and I began to develop physical health issues, as well as serious depression, and feelings of guilt!

As time went on we were able to get ourselves out of the situation by the help of my partner, Alexis. After getting out of trouble I wanted to find out how to help other's get out of these kinds of situations. I have been in the helping professions for my entire professional career.

I love helping other's and have found a way to help people get their live back on track.
